When AIREX began producing the first exercise mats made of foam material in 1960, the company marked a turning point. Within a short time the new, handy lightweights replaced the heavy, expensive chrome leather mats filled with horsehair and commonly used at the time, displacing them from schools, hospitals and competition venues.
AIREX has remained true to its roots to this day, offering products such as the Diana exercise mat especially for schools and sports associations. In order to effectively protect the foam material of the mats, even when frequently used with gym shoes, the exercise mats are equipped with a special coating. This makes them extremely robust and durable. All AIREX exercise mats are gentle on the joints and tendons. The right-angled cut of the AIREX Diana allows it to be laid out into giant, cohesive padded surfaces for training.
